We have started 2011 the way we want to continue - camping, climbing and getting out there with kids to share the fun and learn more about this gorgeous part of the world. So we headed off to Montagu to De Bos, together with the Hojies and their two older kids. Marvellous!
We thought we would have to divide and conquer when it came to tents, especially as Luke is a free agent and no longer in a camp cot, but Jessica firmly told us that she and Luke had THE BLUE TENT MOMMY and vanished into it happily enough. Of course, when it came time for bed, she came out again a few hundred times! Picture a little face poking out of the bottom of a zip surreptitiously watching what is going on.
Some highlights were watching Luke gambol into the neighboring paddock to make friends with the ponies (note Huggabear under one arm), a climb at Steeple, walking into Badkloof, Adam taking on a hectic climb called Creepy Crawly, and then the king swing we set up for the kids. Look at the glee on their faces :)
Good to be out there again, and find that our kids loved every minute too!
