I am writing this between dashes to the kids room as Luke has sore gums (at least, I think this is the problem as he is drooling and sad).... Ok, now I am continuing two days later! Jessica has just emerged from her bedroom for a wee (8.20pm, not asleep yet). Won't do it in the nappy. Sigh. Unlike number twos, which don't ever seem to make it to the loo. Bletch! And a waste of nappies!
Luke is still teething. He ate some small sweetcorn and yoghurt tonight, but that's been it for the day. Yesterday was not much better. Not that he has a lot of fat to lose, little guy. Such a sweetie and LOVES cuddles. He's almost happy to walk holding one finger, but still prefers it if you hold both hands. Despite the sore gums, he and Jessica were chasing each other round the table in the kitchen on Friday, both shrieking with excitement. I tried to teach Jessica how to play hide and seek, but it did not work too well as she thought she had to bring the chair that she was sitting on WITH her to come and find me. Hee hee!
Jessica had her big walk at school yesterday. It was more a clamber-club-type thing, but she loved crawling through the tunnel, jumping onto a big mat, walking a plank etc. Very cute. It was just Jessica and me (Luke had his nap at a friend), and we had a blast and ate everything in sight: she jumped on the jumping castle, did a sand scratch and got a lucky packet with some great stuff in it. Fun! We enjoyed ourselves, then headed home as it started to splatter. By the time we were home, it was very damp and felt like a Cape Town winter's day. Rather refreshing after the 36'C temperatures we have recently experienced.
Pumpkin time - night night!
