There's a hippo in the pool

Oh my golly gosh... it's been hooooooooooooooooooot here in CT. With temperatures sitting at about 34 here at home, in town it was at least 38 and Stellenbosch was 40 yesterday. And I was in both places: town for a teambuild and Stellenbosc for a wedding. Argh! Thank the Lord that the NG Kerk had a fan. Unfortunately the fan at Frieda's in Bree Street was hogged by someone so I did not get near it.

More later when I download pics. I took refuge amongst the red berries in the pool this afternoon.

---- Later -----

Adam's work team posing outside the church for pics (or perhaps I should say "caught" outside the church after the ceremony?)

Street kids who tried to nab as many bottles of bubbles as possible :)

Lanzerac was just spared the fires... JUST. The hills around this lovely wine estate were black and smouldering when we arrived for the reception.

And when the rain clouds gathered and lightning struck, we were found outside in the rain... not quite dancing but definitely wet and loving it!
