Here are some windows into our weekend...

With just under 3 weeks to go till the next bump emerges (yes, the morning of 20 Feb is the DD), I must admit that I am hot, feeling large (bending over is rather difficult), finding that parts of my anatomy have disappeared from view and experiencing rather low energy levels. However, with all that in mind, in the past two weeks I've had the lounge painted, started paving the sidewalk down the house, got tons of gardening done, made umpteen rusks, done some big shops, planned for baby, invited people for supper, am running a team build on Saturday AND going to a wedding later the same day... er... overdoing it? Poor Adam! The gardener helping us out just shakes his head in disbelief :)
Life is not going to be the same again. But then, it changes daily anyway. The one constant is God in the middle of it all, a refuge, a tower to look at while we are busy, and the One who makes it all happen and also can stop time, life, breath. Quite a thought. In fact, the other morning I was reading a verse about "as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so God surrounds his people". This scripture just felt so real to me. Living in the Constantia Valley, you are almost surrounded by mountains, and in the hum-drum day-to-dayness, all one has to do is look up to see the mountains and stop to be in awe of their size and presence. So solid. So there. Like God. You just have to look.
God - help me look more often.
