As we celebrated Easter with a thought-provoking service at church, my two small people sat quietly (mostly) at my feet throughout the meeting. So proud of them, given the usual wriggle factor we've had before! Of course, a packet of sweeties did help along with the great kid packs they were given to colour in.
Then home, a quick tidy and Val arrived for a few hours of catching up. The adults refueled with coffee and the kids with chocolate - a fun egg hunt was followed by a lovely picnic with Val at the top of Kirstenbosch. Kids ran in circles and somersaulted and cartwheeled all the sugar away. The adults admired the view and encouraged the energy boom (with hopes of afternoon naps later - in our case, fulfilled, but I think Val missed out?). So good to catch up and share a Sunday afternoon with a friend!
And then tonight, Madame lost her first top tooth with a little bit of help from Mum. That poor baby tooth was gapping it off to the left for months... Check out the happy smile below. Serious kudos for school on Tuesday!
