School glimpses

The small girl has settled in to life at school... lost her shoes, found them, discovered the joy of library and computer club, swimming Fridays are the best, and experienced school in the rain firsthand (wet socks). Mrs L is quoted and Jessica has put up a behaviour board for her parents in her room. I think I am on Red at the moment after sending her to bed early last night for not listening. I might make it to Blue today (that's near the top).

We got our first school report, and it reflects some things we need to work on with an OT. Jessica seems to have low muscle tone which means she has to work harder on simple things like pencil grip, sitting up straight, writing, thinking through tasks etc, yet her teacher told us how wonderfully persistent Jessica is despite this. I am proud of how well she has done. And thankful for a school that helps us pick this up now and will work with us to overcome it.

Here are some pics of the term: The Fun Run, a school outing to Hout Bay beach ("Oooh Mummy, he squeezed the sea cucumber and it pooh'ed out it's bottom!" and "I found a Cushion Star!") and Mrs L's birthday.

Hey ho, time for school holidays!
