Sleepless in ...

Well, not quite Seattle, eh?  Adam is in Jhb for his 20 year school reunion. We're both looking at the years and wondering where they went and if we really are quite that, um, old? Hate to use that word!

Well, kids and I are going strong, though I did pass out on the couch this afternoon after a visit to Muizenberg on the train.

Da boyz!
The girlfriends...
Jessica refused to share her chocolate brownie ice cream with me and gave me the dreaded dark stare of denial. I countered with the promise to take it away if not shared. Jessica's look of dislike intensified, but I did get a scoop. Luke, on the other hand, was friendly to the extreme and held out his peppermint cup to me unasked.

Waiting on the platform for our train home

What different kids I have:
  • Jessica loves the sea (a walk down the beach saw her come out sopping), Luke runs away from a wave 10m away that is just lapping at the shore.
  • Luke throws things, Jessica collects them.
  • Luke sleeps in the day. Jessica unpacks every cupboard and hidden thing I have if I sleep in the day!

My precious little people are fast asleep, and I'm heading that way too.

Roll on Sunday and Adam home. The house is too quiet without my man. I have the radio on to fill the gaps, but I'm restless without a warm body to turn into and hold. Mmm. Just 21 hours till I get that hug and smoooooch hello!
