It was time for the Yearly Big Walk - which is actually a romp around the hall over an obstacle course, fuelled by smarties at the completion of each lap. If, like Luke, you are inventive, you can skip a large part of the course, and just arrive at the smartie table looking cute and hopeful, and an adult will hand out a treat to you. Then you repeat your careful selection of the things you like doing (jumping off the block and going through the tunnel) and sneak back into the queue for smarties again.

she walks the plank with panache, closely followed by Emma...
Meanwhile, Mr Luke makes the most of the first sunshine in a few days to play with cars, one of which has crashed...
But luckily recovers to Brrrrrm again...
So the real highlights were the prize box where Luke scored some cars, butterfly face painting (which took a lot of trying to get off over the next two days - erkkkk), and the boerie rolls for hungry parents.
A nice day out, if rather loud and filled with manic miniature people!
