It's quite something to see
To feel
To aquaplane the puddles on the M5
To duck around and to dive
(Pardon the pun - this is rather fun)
You see, I was out on the road
In the latest download
Of torrents from the sky
Oh me... Oh my
The city was wet, the roads were all flooded
The roadworks soggy and mudded
The mountain was shining in front of the cloud
With silver rivers all plunging and loud
So here's my "pome" in great personal delight
'cos the roof is snug and totally watertight
On that note, I'll bid you good night
It's time to jump into bed and turn out the light.
