It is Cycle Tour time again in CT and this year the excitement ran high. Ms JK signed up for the 7.5km cycle much to her delight. So we readied the bike, found the gloves (had to borrow Luke's as hers are too small) and then had that moment of realisation when the sibling realised that if you did the race you get a "metal" and a goodie bag. Oi vey. Snot en trane at 7.30pm the evening before the race. And no way we could actually sign him up, even if we wanted to soften the tantrum.
Tough lessons to learn: if you say you don't want to do it, then you can't just change your mind at the last minute and whistle up an entry!
Aside from the rather sulky and sad small boy, the day was great. Jessica did so well on her ride, thanks to lovely friends Eugene and Luca who rode with her.
