Riding the red bus

Thursday was Red Bus Day! So we all hopped out of bed early, into the car, hopped out at the Cableway and took the scenic route up Cape Town's "the mountain". Lekker views from the top, some bouldering dassies to add some humour to the morning, milo and snacks, then down to hop on to the Red Bus.

Mark and Rose were going to join us, but missed the bus so chased us down all the way to Sea Point's promenade. Thankfully they did manage to catch the bus at last with lots of laughter, and then we circled CT learning lots along the way.

Some highlights were the views of city, sea and mountain (I love my city) and St George's Cathedral (no Luke, you are not allowed to blow out the candles, I mean it!) and of course, the Company Gardens (oy, don't chase the pigeons!). Mark and Luke ended up joining a vigourous soccer game on the lawns with a family that was out for the day too.

Then a gallop through the Natural History Museum and back onto the bus for a last circuit past District Six and the harbour, before returning to Table Mountain to retrieve our car and fetch Adam from work on the way home. Sadly he had to work :(

Hmmm...

Ready for the mountain

Hands up!

Waiting waiting waiting for the bus... where's the bus?

And that's the bus as we waved goodbye.
