Dad popped in for a night and day - just a few hours but when he had to leave, Jessica asked me with that trembling lower lip: "Where's Grandad, Mommy? I want Grandad!" I have to say that I could not answer her, except to say, "I know, sweetheart, I want him too." So, a few moments that we all enjoyed: a walk at Kalk Bay with seals playing in the waves on the ocean side of the harbour wall, and some time to chat.
